# The Data Layer

The data layer is what connects Synergy to the real world. It gathers and organizes information from public datasets, APIs, oracles, and private contributors. This layer provides the raw material that agents use to reason and that humans use to verify results.

It ensures that Synergy’s intelligence is grounded in truth. Without good data, even the best algorithms or insights are unreliable. The data layer prevents that by serving as the shared source of verified information across the network.

Every time a new problem enters the system, the data layer helps identify relevant inputs, updates live sources, and provides the foundation for agents to work efficiently. It is the bridge between human curiosity, machine reasoning, and real-world evidence.
