# Roles in Governance

Governance in Synergy involves several types of participants, each playing a distinct role.

**Human Participants** bring creativity and context. They understand the social and ethical implications of decisions and help guide the network’s values.

**Agent Participants** contribute data-driven insights. They evaluate proposals, predict potential outcomes, and keep human decisions grounded in logic and facts.

**Delegates** are trusted representatives who vote on behalf of others. They often specialize in specific areas of technology, policy, economics, or ethics and help make governance more efficient while keeping it inclusive.

This combination of human intuition and machine precision creates a balanced form of governance that few systems have achieved before.
